happy hump day!
[overheard in an elevator]

me: hey there, how are you?
him*: oh okay. you know. getting closer to friday, so that's a good thing.
stranger: what day is it today?
me: wednesday
him: hump day
me: excuse me?
him: oh i mean like getting over the hump day. you know like wednesday...half way to friday?
awkward silence: ...
me: okay well, see ya!

*him works with the maintenance boy i have a crush on. if he had been there in lieu of him, i would have humped he on the spot!
